Ever look at your family and get hit right in the heart with all the feels? They’re just like you dreamed of, prayed for. 

In between the diaper changes and nighttime soothing and school schedules and bandaged knees, it can be hard to take a step back and appreciate just how amazing it all is. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s hard, too — but even in the hardest moments, you know you’d be nowhere else.

And that is why I love serving families like yours through photography.

But let’s be honest, I’ll probably say “you guys” at least once...

I was born and raised in Illinois, met my husband at Purdue University, and started our married life (and family!) in the Carolinas. We fell head over heels for this part of the country. When we’re not at home in Aiken, SC, you can find us exploring the coast, mountains and adorable small towns.

My grandfather loved photography, and I remember looking at the landscapes hanging in my grandparents home knowing they came from him. Fast forward a couple decades, and I’m newly married living far from home. After my grandmother passed, I used my small inheritance to buy my first “nice” camera (a Canon Rebel T7, to be exact) as a tribute to my grandparents.

That camera in my hands just felt right, like I was becoming who I was meant to be. That was 2017, and I haven’t looked back since.
